Web2208 might be a great fit for 140-150gr class hunting projectiles. For the 160gr we found that we hit pressure at about 42gr, which gave us 2700fps out of the 7mm SAW 20″ barrel. We did find decent accuracy at 41.6gr (2663 fps). So, roll on 2209 (aka old faithful)… This time, case capacity was the limiting factor. WebJan 11, 2014 · Can't help with your rifle specifically as I don't have one, but there is no shortage of people shooting 308/AR2208 and getting top accuracy. 155gr - 180gr is a real popular weight range for bullets for target shooting too (which is what you're doing with that rifle I assume?). I'd go a head and give 2208 a try, I'm sure you'll do all right. WebAug 29, 2024 · 2208 = Varget and 2206H = H4895. ADI supply these powders to Hodgdon who then rebrand them. The site shows loads vs. pressures which may or may not be true in your rifles. I suppose there can be benefits in following the herd but if you have some experience in handloading then determining these issues for yourself can be educational.

The starting load listed for that bullet is 30.1 gr and the max load is 33.8 gr.
