WebDec 6, 2024 · I replaced the 68 ohm fusible resistor (0.25w) with a 47 ohm (0.5w) one. I did some tests on the 22 ohm and 47 ohm resistors using my power supply. The 22 ohm one fused at 0.6 amps. The 47 ohm resistor (in series with the 22 ohm one) fused at approx 0.37 Amps (the 22 ohm survived but got a bit charred). WebIt would not be a fuse designated “slow-blow”, “time-delay” or “motor-duty” fuses (class R fuses in medium voltage). The application is to protect low voltage wiring insulation for 120-240Vac, 400 or 480Vac, or 600Vac circuits, 1ph / 3ph implicit in the voltages, and selection of voltages to reflect North American / European choices ...

WebAlso this resistor can easily be changed for a different value where different versions of a circuit may be built, using the same PCB. The tolerance band on a resistor indicates the spread of possible values of any particular resistor, for example a resistor marked as 47K Ω +/- 10% will have an actual value somewhere between 42.3K Ω and 51.7K Ω. WebAug 27, 2024 · Some fast-acting fusible resistors can react to sudden fault events, with fusing times < 20 µsec. WebIf you get a reading that seems to be a common resistor value like 100 ohm or 1K, it is likely a resistor. If you get no reading at all across the component then it is either blown (possibly a fuse) or a capacitor. Here a multimeter with a capacitance funcion comes in really handy, measure the capacitance across it if you have access to a meter ... WebOct 3, 2024 · The voltage rating on the fuse can be higher than the voltage present on the circuit, but not the other way around. If a 250 V AC fuse is used on a device that uses 120 V AC, there should be no problem. If a 125 V AC fuse is used on a 250 V AC supply, the fuse will be damaged and the likelihood of arching is great when the fuse blows. Another ... WebFigure 1 shows a set of three typical HRC fuses used for electric motor circuit protection. They have a plastic carrier and base and are designed to be used with enclosed fuse links.
