WebSep 8, 2024 · It has a large number of fixes and improvements for VR. This beta can play with non-vr and other normal branch players as well. It doesn't sound like a bug I am familiar with either. I would suggest making sure both parties have verified their installations, and see if that helps. I put it on Single Player but none of the buttons on either left or right controller do anything. However, if I point to Single Player and grab my XBox controller, it will allow me to load up the game. That's all it will do though.

Me with my Valve Index, and them without VR, and it's made for some comical situations due to the contrast in how VR movements look vs keyboard and mouse movements. WebVR Giants is coming out soon. Sill beta i believe. Fun game tbh I played the beta. Try Traffic Jams. It has a fun singleplayer campaign and a multiplayer mode with non-vr players. One game that is a bit different is Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Super fun.
