But I can't say that changing out the steering wheel is a bad solution. Its an easier path and it does work.

WebDec 13, 2024 · I basically took the new wheel well back to the radius of the stock opening lip, and then pushed the inner side back another 1" (not noticeable from outside) to where the seat hits, and then the seat wraps around the new fender well by 1.5". Three pics attached. Wheel well pic is actually the passenger side, but driver's side is the same. WebJun 3, 2002 · The plasma cutter did a great job. Then I took a pair of vice grips and rebent the metal back in about 1/2". I ended up with about 1 1/2" off the back of the wheelwell right were I needed it. The flare was able to stretch over the wider opening and looks stock. I'm running 35s with Scout axles on my CJ7 with a 4" lift and a 1" body lift.
