WebIn theory, UC's are more theory based and CSU's are more practical. I think that's an exaggeration, though. I spent two years at UC Riverside and transferred to UCLA for 3 more years, and can verify that we had a TON of practical, programming heavy classes. The theory on top of it just gives an even better background.
