What could be possible is NAND restore via hardware flashing (Infectus chip if I remember that correctly). WebI won't get into details, but basically it backs up your Wii's hardware/system NAND to SD/USB and then allows you to boot that NAND instead of the sysNAND. This lets you install wads to your EmuNAND and not your sysNAND so if it bricks EmuNAND, you can boot to sysNAND and fix EmuNAND. It's not 100%, but it's another layer of protection. cube checklist
