We are office365 and use ServiceNow for our ticketing system. Great tool as long as you have the people to make it good. Have not heard of Harepoint. But the sound of using Sharepoint as a ticketing system just gives me heartburn. Another one I have heard good things about is Jira service desk (by Atlassian).
